Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has not only had an impact on the economy and public health. One sign of greater well-being is women's advancement in the economy. In addition, women play an important role in community and group empowerment initiatives aimed at reducing poverty. According to the UN Women Survey (2020), 82% of women who rely on income from family businesses have experienced a significant decrease in income, there have been layoffs for female employees both domestically and abroad, and in the context of MSMEs, which are mainly managed by women, they also faced these challenging conditions. Most housewives in villages in Klaten Regency participate in local social activities related to socio-economic phenomena there. Unfortunately, only a few of them actively contribute to the family economy, which is bad news for family matters. Counseling and training that can inspire mothers to explore, develop and maximize their potential is urgently needed to support the motivation and abilities of housewives. With this knowledge and motivation, it is hoped that mothers can go further and help overcome the financial problems their families face. Liquid soap making training is an alternative activity that can be used to encourage and develop the potential of families and communities.
